The Wisconsin Psychoanalytic Center (WPC) is committed to advancing psychoanalytic understanding and application to alleviate mental health suffering and to enrich the lives of individuals, families and community systems.
The Center strives to
- Advance psychoanalytic knowledge to foster and nourish learning psychoanalysis in Wisconsin.
- Increase awareness of psychoanalytic understanding as a useful and necessary therapeutic modality to address individual, family and community mental health problems.
- Promote access to train to become a psychoanalyst.
- Offer accessible psychoanalytic treatment, supervision, and consultative options.
- Provide educational opportunities in psychoanalytic theories, techniques, and process that foster personal growth and professional development.
- Teach psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy to university based training programs in psychiatry, psychology, and social work.
